Meeting Our Criteria
What it means to be a host on our platform — our standards, our market, and how we protect both hosts and clients.
Growing Demand from Latin America
Based out of Miami, Florida — the “Capital of Latin America” — we serve a growing Latin American clientele of producers and professional agencies across the region.
Our clients rely on us to provide excellent locations for films, novelas, shows, modeling shoots, and advertising. They also rely on our knowledge of local areas for safety, privacy, permits, hospitality, vendors, local talent, and various other details.
Due to this, we expect all our hosts to conduct themselves to a professional and higher standard. Only hosts with positive rating reviews will be accepted to showcase and feature their properties.
How Listings Are Selected
Submitting a listing does not automatically grant Verified status or guarantee visibility to our clients
Florida — Gateway to Latin America & the Caribbean
Although we offer listings in other US states, our focus remains in Florida and Latin American countries reciprocally. We welcome you to join our team and ask that you follow host guidelines, maintain good relationships and reviews, and become a member through our various membership packages.
We’ve partnered with a travel agency affiliate to give the best discount rates to not only our overseas clients, but also to our Certified Location Scouts, Location/Event Managers, and hosts with Premium Membership.
You’re Not Limited to Just Homes & Businesses
Let the community and our professional clients decide where their creativity, celebrations, and corporate meetings will take them. We accept all kinds of unique spaces:

Account Accuracy
You agree to provide accurate, complete, and current information when creating or updating your account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.
One Account Per Person
Each individual or business entity may maintain one account on the Platform unless explicitly authorized otherwise. Accounts are non-transferable.
Suspension & Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate any account at our sole discretion for violations of these Terms, fraudulent activity, or conduct that harms the Platform community or its users.
Renter Terms
4.1 Searching and Booking
When you book a Listing, you are entering into a direct rental agreement with the Host. Catalani Locations is not a party to that agreement. You agree to pay all charges associated with your booking, including the Listing price, the Platform Fee, and any applicable taxes.
4.2 Your Responsibilities as a Renter
- Leave the location in the same condition you found it.
- Comply with all rules and requirements specified in the Listing.
- Ensure all members of your party comply with the Host’s policies.
- Obtain any permits, insurance, or licenses required for your production or event.
- Act with respect for the Host, co-host, neighbors, and the property at all times.
4.3 Assumption of Risk
You acknowledge that film, photography, event, and creative productions carry inherent risks. You assume full responsibility for assessing whether a location is suitable for your intended use. Catalani Locations does not inspect listings or verify their suitability for any specific production.
4.4 Damage
You are liable for any damage caused to a Listing during your booking. Catalani Locations may facilitate communication regarding damage claims but is not responsible for resolving disputes between Hosts and Renters regarding property damage.
Host Terms
5.1 Listing Your Location
As a Host, you may list your property on the Platform in accordance with these Terms. Your listing must include accurate, complete, and up-to-date information about your location, pricing, availability, rules, and any restrictions on use.
5.2 Contracting with Renters
When a Renter books your listing, you enter into a direct rental agreement with that Renter. Catalani Locations is not a party to that agreement. You are responsible for delivering the location as described in your listing and honoring the terms of each booking.
5.3 Your Legal Obligations
You are solely responsible for understanding and complying with all applicable laws, regulations, zoning rules, homeowner association restrictions, lease agreements, and insurance requirements that apply to your property and hosting activities. This includes any permits required for commercial filming or events at your location.
5.4 Hosting with a Co-Host or Team
If you work with a co-host or host as part of a team or organization, you remain solely responsible and liable as the Host under these Terms for the acts and omissions of every individual who participates in delivering your hosting services. If you authorize Catalani Locations to split a portion of your payout to a co-host, you represent that you are authorized to make that instruction, and you are solely liable for the accuracy of all payout information you provide.
5.5 Host Independence
Your relationship with Catalani Locations is that of an independent individual or entity. You are not an employee, agent, joint venturer, or partner of Catalani Locations.
5.6 Insurance
You are strongly encouraged to obtain appropriate insurance coverage for your property and hosting activities. You may require Renters to carry production insurance as a condition of booking, and we recommend you disclose this requirement clearly in your listing.
Co-Host Terms
6.1 What Is a Co-Host
A Co-Host is a person authorized by a Host to assist in managing a listing, communicating with Renters, coordinating access, or handling other aspects of a booking on the Host’s behalf. Co-Hosts may be friends, family members, property managers, or any other trusted individual designated by the Host.
6.2 Host Responsibility for Co-Hosts
By adding a Co-Host or granting them access to manage a listing, the Host represents and warrants that the Co-Host is authorized to act on the Host’s behalf. The Host remains solely responsible and liable for all actions taken by their Co-Host in connection with any listing or booking. Catalani Locations holds the Host — not the Co-Host — accountable for all hosting obligations under these Terms.
6.3 Co-Host Payouts
Where the Platform provides payout-splitting functionality, a Host may elect to allocate a portion of their booking payout to a Co-Host. Both parties must confirm the split arrangement on the Platform before it takes effect. Catalani Locations processes Co-Host Payouts solely as a payment facilitator pursuant to a Host’s instruction and is not responsible for any disputes between a Host and Co-Host regarding payout amounts, timing, or entitlement.
6.4 Co-Host Independence from Catalani Locations
Catalani Locations does not employ, engage, direct, or control Co-Hosts. The formation of a co-hosting arrangement does not create any employment, agency, partnership, or joint venture relationship between either party and Catalani Locations. Catalani Locations is not obligated to mediate disputes between Hosts and Co-Hosts.
6.5 Co-Host Taxes
Co-Hosts are solely responsible for determining and fulfilling all applicable tax obligations arising from any payouts or compensation they receive through or in connection with the Platform. Catalani Locations does not provide tax advice to Co-Hosts.
6.6 Private Co-Host Agreements
Catalani Locations strongly recommends that Hosts and Co-Hosts formalize their arrangement in a private written agreement. We provide a template as a courtesy, but we are not responsible for the adequacy, enforceability, or terms of any private agreement. Consult a qualified attorney if you have questions about your legal obligations.
Platform Fees
| Party | Fee | How Applied |
|---|---|---|
| Host Fee | 9% | Deducted from the Host’s payout per booking |
| Renter Fee | 9% | Added to the Renter’s total at checkout |
Fees are subject to change with reasonable advance notice. Continued use of the Platform following any fee change constitutes your acceptance. For full details, see our Fee Overview page.
Cancellations & Refunds
Cancellations and refunds are governed by the Cancellation Policy selected by the Host for their listing and our platform-level Cancellation Policy. Please review the applicable policy carefully before booking. For full details, see our Cancellation Policy page.
Content & Listings
9.1 Your Content
By submitting photos, descriptions, reviews, or any other content to the Platform, you grant Catalani Locations a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, display, and distribute that content for the purpose of operating and promoting the Platform.
9.2 Accuracy
You are solely responsible for ensuring all content you submit is accurate, lawful, and not misleading. Catalani Locations does not verify the accuracy of listing content and is not liable for any inaccuracies.
9.3 Reviews
Reviews must be honest, fair, and free of defamatory, discriminatory, or abusive language. Catalani Locations reserves the right to remove reviews that violate these standards.
Conduct & Prohibited Uses
You agree not to use the Platform to:
- Engage in any unlawful activity or facilitate illegal productions.
- Circumvent Platform Fees by completing bookings off-platform after initial contact through Catalani Locations.
- Provide false, misleading, or fraudulent information in any listing or account.
- Harass, threaten, or discriminate against any other user.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Platform or other users’ accounts.
- Use automated tools to scrape, copy, or collect data from the Platform.
- Post content that infringes any intellectual property rights of others.
Violations may result in immediate account suspension or termination, removal of listings, and potential legal action.
Liability & Disclaimers
11.1 Platform Role
Catalani Locations is a marketplace technology platform. We do not own, operate, inspect, or control any listed property. We make no representations or warranties regarding the quality, safety, legality, or suitability of any listing.
11.2 Disclaimer of Warranties
THE PLATFORM IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.
11.3 Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, CATALANI LOCATIONS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE PLATFORM OR ANY BOOKING MADE THROUGH IT. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the greater of (a) Platform Fees paid by you in the twelve months preceding the claim, or (b) $100 USD.
11.4 Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Catalani Locations and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses arising from your use of the Platform, your breach of these Terms, or the acts or omissions of any Co-Host you authorize.
Disputes
12.1 Between Users
Catalani Locations is not responsible for resolving disputes between Hosts, Renters, and Co-Hosts. Any disputes between users must be resolved by those parties directly.
12.2 With Catalani Locations
Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms shall first be submitted to informal negotiation by contacting us at support@catalanilocations.com. If not resolved within 30 days, it shall be submitted to binding arbitration under the rules of the American Arbitration Association, conducted in Miami, Florida. You waive any right to participate in a class action against Catalani Locations.
12.3 Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Florida.
Privacy
Your use of the Platform is subject to our Privacy Notice, incorporated into these Terms by reference. Hosts who receive personal information about Renters through the Platform must use it solely for purposes related to fulfilling a booking and handle it in compliance with applicable privacy laws.
Modifications
Catalani Locations reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of material changes by updating the “Last Updated” date above and, where appropriate, notifying you by email or through the Platform. Your continued use of the Platform after any modification constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.

Community Guidelines
Our Community Guidelines apply to every member — Hosts, Renters, Co-Hosts, and Scouts — at all times. Full details are available on our Community Guidelines page. The following is a summary of core expectations.
16.1 Represent Your Space Honestly
Hosts must accurately represent the condition, amenities, capacity, and pricing of their listing. Photos must reflect the actual current state of the space. Do not list a location you do not have the right to license. Amenities listed on your profile must be included in your hourly rate — any add-ons must be disclosed separately and in advance.
16.2 Respect the Space
Renters must treat every location with care and leave it in the same condition as found. Do not use areas of the property marked as off-limits, use equipment not included in the booking without permission, or remain on the property past the end of your booking window. Set-up and breakdown time must be included within your booked hours.
16.3 Communicate Honestly
All users must communicate truthfully on the Platform. Do not misrepresent who you are, your production intentions, the number of people attending, or the nature of your event. Do not open multiple accounts or impersonate another person or organization.
16.4 Transact on Platform
All bookings and payments must be processed through Catalani Locations. Conducting transactions off-platform after making contact through the Platform, or attempting to circumvent Platform Fees, is a serious violation and may result in permanent account termination and a fine equal to the Platform Fee that would have applied.
16.5 Be Respectful of Neighbors & Surroundings
Renters are responsible for the behavior of all cast, crew, guests, and vendors they bring to a location. Excessive noise, disturbance of neighbors, unauthorized use of common areas, and failure to comply with local ordinances are violations of these guidelines and may result in account suspension.
16.6 No Prohibited Content or Conduct
The following are strictly prohibited on the Platform: harassment or threats toward any user; discriminatory conduct based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or any other protected characteristic; posting false reviews; theft, vandalism, or property damage; and any activity that violates applicable law.
16.7 Enforcement
Violations of these Community Guidelines may result in warning, listing suspension, account termination, or referral to law enforcement depending on severity. Catalani Locations reserves the right to make enforcement decisions at its sole discretion. To report a violation, contact support@catalanilocations.com.
Referral Terms
Catalani Locations may offer a referral program allowing existing members to invite new Hosts or Renters to the Platform in exchange for platform credits. Full program details are available on our Referral Terms page.
17.1 How Referrals Work
Eligible members may share a unique referral link with individuals who do not yet have a Catalani Locations account. When a referred person signs up using your referral link and completes a qualifying booking or listing, the referring member may receive platform credits as described in the active Referral Program terms at the time of sign-up.
17.2 Eligibility
Referral credits are issued only for new members — individuals who have never previously held a Catalani Locations account. Referring yourself, creating duplicate accounts, or manipulating referral links to claim rewards fraudulently are violations of these Terms and may result in forfeiture of all credits and account termination.
17.3 Credits
Platform credits issued through the referral program have no cash value and cannot be redeemed, transferred, sold, or exchanged for cash. Credits may only be applied toward future bookings on the Platform and cannot exceed the total booking price. Credits expire as specified in the active program terms, or immediately upon account termination.
17.4 Program Changes
Catalani Locations reserves the right to modify, suspend, or terminate the referral program at any time without prior notice. Upon termination of the program, members will have 30 days to use any accrued credits before forfeiture. Catalani Locations is not liable for any credits lost due to program changes or account termination for cause.
Social Event Policy
Catalani Locations serves primarily film, photography, and professional production clients. Social events — including parties, gatherings, celebrations, and similar activities — are permitted on the Platform subject to the restrictions below and the full Social Event Policy. This policy applies to all Renters booking for social purposes and all Hosts who accept such bookings.
18.1 Permitted Social Events
Social events are permitted at commercial and event-designated spaces where the Host has explicitly enabled social event bookings on their listing. Permitted events include corporate gatherings, branded activations, product launches, private celebrations, and similar organized events where the Renter takes full responsibility for the conduct of all attendees.
18.2 Residential Restrictions
Social events at residential properties (homes, condos, apartments, lofts) are subject to stricter controls. Late-night parties, publicly marketed events, and events exceeding the listed capacity are not permitted at residential listings. Hosts at residential properties retain the right to decline any social event booking at their discretion.
18.3 Renter Obligations for Social Events
- Obtain all required permits, licenses, and event insurance before the booking date.
- Disclose the accurate nature of the event, expected headcount, and planned activities when booking.
- Book sufficient time to include full set-up, the event itself, and complete clean-up.
- Comply with all applicable noise ordinances, fire codes, and local regulations.
- Ensure all attendees are of legal age where alcohol is served, and obtain any required alcohol permits.
- Leave the space in the same or better condition as found.
18.4 Host Obligations for Social Events
Hosts who accept social event bookings must clearly state any capacity limits, sound restrictions, curfews, insurance requirements, and prohibited activities in their listing rules. Hosts may require proof of event insurance or permits before confirming a booking.
18.5 Violations
Misrepresenting the nature of a booking as a production or meeting when it is in fact a party or social gathering is a material breach of these Terms and may result in immediate booking cancellation without refund, account termination, and liability for any damages incurred.
Property Damage Guarantee
Catalani Locations offers a Property Damage Guarantee program to give Hosts additional protection against accidental damage caused by Renters during a booking. Full terms are available on our Property Damage Guarantee page.
19.1 Host Protection
Where the Property Damage Guarantee applies, Catalani Locations may, at its sole discretion, reimburse Hosts for documented damage caused by a Renter during a confirmed booking, up to the coverage limit stated in the active program terms. This program is separate from and does not replace the Host’s own property insurance, which Hosts are strongly encouraged to maintain.
19.2 Renter Liability
Renters are liable for all damage caused to a listing during their booking, regardless of whether a damage guarantee program is in effect. Catalani Locations reserves the right to charge the Renter’s payment method on file for documented damage costs, up to the full replacement or repair value, where a Host submits a valid claim.
19.3 Claim Requirements
To be eligible for consideration under the Property Damage Guarantee, Hosts must:
- Submit a damage report to Catalani Locations within 48 hours of the booking’s end time.
- Provide photographic or video evidence of the damage, taken immediately after the booking.
- Provide itemized repair or replacement cost estimates from qualified vendors.
- Have documented the pre-booking condition of the affected items (photos, video, or checklist).
19.4 Exclusions
The Property Damage Guarantee does not cover: normal wear and tear; pre-existing damage; damage caused by the Host or their agents; theft or loss of personal items not fixed to the property; damage resulting from the Host’s failure to disclose known risks; or damage arising from events the Host explicitly permitted (e.g., wet productions, pyrotechnics, animals) without adequate precautions.
19.5 No Guarantee of Coverage
